Scanning & Imaging Services
We know legal discovery document imaging like no one else! We know how critical it is to have zero errors in electronic records presented at trial, so we use only top of the line imaging equipment from Fujitsu, Bell & Howell and Kofax. We retired the physical Bates number stamp long ago and use computer controlled labeling systems to add an additional level of validation to our imaging procedure. We have adopted systems for quality control that ensure every document is scanned accurately, including:
|
- No mis-feeds
- No double feeds
- No skews
- No missing numbers
- No duplicate numbers
We routinely provide a verification report identifying any missing or duplicate numbers on pre-numbered documents. Additionally we offer improved quality documents at 300dpi or higher and automatically:
|
- Remove speckles and spots
- De-skew images
- Orient portrait and landscape images and
- OCR conversion
Duplication Services
We produce images of your discovery documents on CD or DVD, as desired, ready for import in all standard image formats with appropriate files for support programs such as: Assumation, TrialDirector, Concordance, CaseMap, Inmagic, Visionary, dtSearch, JFA Litigator's Notebook

Our Imaging Process
Before we scan your documents they go through a strenuous preparation process. Trained staff disassemble multiple pages, remove staples, clips, folders and other bindings. Each page is labeled, counted and logged. The images produced are inspected for quality control: any found outside a preset range for the particular level of acceptability are re-scanned. Finally all files are verified for quantity control and any discrepancies in numbering, page counts/ image counts are identified. An Exception Report is created when discrepancies arise in the original documents. All documents are reassembled into their original binding and organization. The images undergo optical character recognition (OCR), and are then assembled into “electronic” documents (one file to one document) and the desired output format file is created and merged on to the final CD so that the images can be seamlessly imported into your favorite viewer.
