Jury Simulations & Mock Trials
These sessions may be organized at varying levels of detail, ranging from heuristic orientations to full replicate trials. A typical day-long simulation involves opening and closing of counsel for both parties with full explanation of summary testimony, exhibits, video depositions, and rebuttal. Prior to the exercise, jurors undergo an extensive briefing, similar in many respects to factual, as opposed to indoctrinating, voir dire. At the close of presentations and before entering group deliberations each juror completes both an open-ended personal questionnaire and a verdict form.
Clients may watch all proceedings on closed-circuit television. Our mock courtroom seats 72 jurors, four representatives at each counsel table and features a witness box and judicial station. A second courtroom is available for smaller proceedings.
Field exercises are conducted nationally in public conference facilities which we wire for proprietary television and computer equipment designed and produced specifically for this purpose. Up to eight groups may be evaluated simultaneously in this manner.
